This study sheds light on the concept of the common good, examining the various terms and conceptual developments that accompanied the return of research and academic interest in the context of thinking about the paths of sustainable development.

therefore, the purpose of this research will be to attempt to look at sustainable development by taking into account the concept of the common good.

for this reason, this study will be conceptual-theoretical, using the descriptive approach to deduce the extent of the practicality of the idea of the common good, and to identify the benefits that this concept offers us in the field of sustainable development, and its suitability for approaching sustainable development based on the idea that what constitutes a common good and good for humanity constitutes at the same time, it is an approach to sustaining development.
