Extremist organizations rely on a totalitarian ideology that realizes that the key individuals in institutions of socialization are a source of influence, and resort to the latter in supplying them with the human resource harboring extremist thought.

therefore, it is essential to pay attention to these institutions and the followed socialization approach, as socialization becomes a double-edged sword: its intellectual frailty is one of the causes of extremism, and its sound premises and flawless performance are reasons for prevention against extremist thought.

from this premise, this research paper came to shed light / on the role of socialization and its social institutions in preventing intellectual extremism and terrorism, by discussing its patterns in various institutions, and showing the ways to prevent the affliction of extremism threatening the security and stability of society.
