This research aims to demonstrate the environmental footprint as an indicator of sustainable development with an indication of the UAE's experience.

the environmental footprint measured States' frequent consumption and systems of natural resources, which had become difficult to regenerate, and their rapid and unregulated use had become a direct cause of their decline and degradation.

natural resources' ability to replenish is minimal and time-consuming, and therefore their ability to regenerate has become a very important factor for achieving sustainable development in a country.

through this study, we have reached the very important conclusion that there is a link between environmental footprint and sustainable development through our focus on the UAE's experience.
