This research paper aims to examine the efforts of the Algerian government in formulating energy policies that address citizen needs and environmental security concerns.

It also explores the imperative to protect future generations' access to both above- and below-ground resources due to the tangible threat posed by environmental pollution in multiple spheres, including health, economy, politics, agriculture, demography, and ecology.

In this context, Algeria, akin to numerous other nations, has prioritized the environmental agenda, leading to significant reforms and a heightened focus on renewable energy sources as part of a green economy approach.
