This study attempts to analyze the phenomenon of ethno-religious conflicts that have emerged in the international arena during recent decades, especially in the Sahel region south of the Sahara, by explaining the real reasons underlying the outbreak and spread of these conflicts, where the ethnic phenomenon is a result of the increasing demands of ethnicities and their conflict, which emerged as a result of the historical deposits produced by the geographical economic and social development that contributes to building a culture citizenship and achieving security of community, especially in countries characterized by multi-ethnicity.
