This research paper attempts to examine the potential and cognitive limitations produced by the current educational processes, which have been deeply and increasingly affected by the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.

this pandemic has prompted a change in the pillars upon which traditional approaches to higher education are built.

students around the world have been cut off from their universities due to absolute social isolation policies to prevent the rapid spread of this epidemic.

the problem that this paper tries to bring out for academic discussion is the difficulty of the cognitive integration processes that take place after the quarantine is lifted and the Algerian student returns to the university.

the profound problems that result from it, given the additional responsibilities entrusted to the professor, the difficulty of adapting the student to distance teaching paths and the absence of a coherent knowledge structure to achieve the methodological and scientific continuity between the attendance and non-attendance (remote) teaching style.
