The research paper seeks to discuss the repercussions of the pandemic crisis on human security and development in North African countries, and how it posed an unconventional threat to human security, especially the most vulnerable groups, and the resulting high poverty index, social, gender, economic and health inequality.

this crisis reflected the lack of preparedness of these countries in the face of such epidemics, as a result of the absence of an adequate level of infrastructure related to the health, social and economic system, the lack of equipment, logistical capabilities, emergency plans, response, protection and empowerment, which negatively affects freedom from poverty and need, suffering and discrimination.
