Abstract EN

Research paper seeks to reveal the impact of the Corona pandemic, on the economies of Algeria and Tunisia, by analyzing the economic situation of the two countries before and after the pandemic, and tracking.

the course of actions taken in the two countries to deal with the repercussions of the pandemic at the level of employment, unemployment, poverty and consumption.

this study found that the pandemic has exacerbated the level of economic fragility in the two countries that, even before the pandemic, were suffering from economic deterioration, despite the speed in dealing with the pandemic through the measures taken.

nevertheless, the impact of the pandemic was profound, and the study concluded the need to follow an economic model that seeks to diversify sources of income away from oil rents in Algeria.

an economic model based on investment in human capital, and the importance of political stability as the main variable for economic planning and its success in Tunisia, as well as the importance of the economic plan being compatible with the capabilities of the state and its social environment.
