The aim of the research is to identify the theoretical and intellectual bases for the performance of school leaders in the light of contemporary educational literature, the intellectual and theoretical framework of the Mckinsey model in the light of contemporary administrative and educational literature, and to identify the obstacles to developing the performance of school leaders in the light of the Mckinsey model from the point of view of the study sample, and to develop proposed recommendations to overcome the obstacles to developing the performance of school leaders in the light of the Mckinsey model, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach, and relied in his field framework on the questionnaire to identify the obstacles to developing the performance of school leaders in the light of the Mckinsey model, and the researcher concluded that it is necessary to work on raising the level of administrative performance of school leaders through carrying out the necessary training and conducting specialized training programs that address aspects of the administrative shortcomings of these leaders, setting job description cards for each job in the institution and knowing the tasks related to each job, identifying training courses through academies and leadership preparation centers in the ministry and others to develop the leadership performance of school leaders.
