Abstract EN

The current study aimed to prepare a program in grammatical reflection of the Quranic verses based on the contextual theory for newly graduated Arabic teachers and measure its impact on developing some of their grammatical thinking skills and linguistic sense.

the experimental research approach of the quasi-experimental design of one group was utilized.

the study group consisted of (32) teachers.

the study tools comprised the two tests of grammatical thinking and linguistic sense.

to verify the programs’ impact in developing these two variables, the tests were pre- and post-administered to the teachers of the study group.

results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of these teachers in the pre-and post-measurements of grammatical thinking as a whole and its sub-skills separately and the linguistic sense test as a whole and its sub-skills separately in favor of the post-measurement.

in addition, results revealed that the effect size of the independent variable (the suggested program) on the two dependent variables (grammatical thinking and linguistic sense) was large, indicating the effectiveness of the grammatical reflection program on Quranic verses in developing these skills among teachers.

the study concluded by presenting some recommendations and further research suggestions.
