Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the degree of importance of using alternative assessment strategies in the teaching process of faculty members in the light of some variables.

the study used the descriptive survey approach, and study tool consisted of questionnaire applied on a sample of (258) faculty members.

the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: the degree of importance of all alternative evaluation strategies is medium, as the average of responses ranged between (2.95-3.96), as well as the overall average which amounted (3.46).

also, the degree of using all alternative evaluation strategies was medium, as the average of responses ranged between (3.02-3.98), as well as the overall average which amounted (3.50).

the results also found that there are differences in the importance and degree of use of alternative evaluation strategies attributable to specialization in favor of scientific specialization, and in the degree of use of alternative evaluation strategies by gender in favor of females, while there are no differences in importance by gender.

in light of the results, some recommendations were made, the most important of which is the need to train faculty members to use alternative evaluation strategies in universities.
