Abstract EN

The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of training programs in developing the professional competencies of the educational supervisors working in the offices of education in Riyadh, identify the constraints which prevent benefit from these programs, and introduce the suggestions to make greater benefit from these programs.

the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach and the questionnaire as the tool of the study.

the study population consists of all educational supervisors (460) working in the public education offices in Riyadh.

a random sample was selected in total (210) educational supervisors.

the study revealed the following main results: the study sample (agree) on the effectiveness of the training programs in developing the professional competencies of the educational supervisors with arithmetic mean (3.95) whereas the personal competencies are in the first rank with arithmetic mean (4.08), the performance competencies are in the second ran with arithmetic mean (4.01), the planning competencies in the third rank with arithmetic mean (3.98) and the technological competencies in the fourth rank with arithmetic mean (3.72), the results also indicated that the study sample (agree) on the constraints which prevent to benefit from these programs and introduce the suggestions to make greater benefit from these programs with arithmetic mean (4.06) mainly including: the limited number of training programs holds for educational supervisors, and the approval of the study members with a degree of (strongly agree) on the proposals that contribute to increasing the benefit of training programs in developing the professional competencies of female educational supervisors, with arithmetic mean (4.60) mainly including: recruit high training efficient experiences to hold training programs in the field of educational supervision, the study also recommended a set of recommendations, including diversification in the establishment of training programs between centers affiliated to the ministry of education and other training centers to benefit from the expertise of these centers.
