The age of laws is an inherent jurisdiction of the parliament.

however, within the frame work of cooperation between authorities, the constitution grants the government the power to initiate laws alongside the parliament.

in return, the president has a legal means (issuance of laws) to implement projects and proposals of these laws after the parliament's approval.

however, in the version in the Algerian legal system, the issuance of laws has raised many issues in practice, surpassing its concept as an execution procedure for the laws approved and ratified by the parliament, considering it as the exclusive and inherent jurisdiction.

it has become a method to cleanse legal texts, clearly reflecting the dominance of the president over the legislative process and a clear breach of the principle of separation of powers, especially given the president's exclusive and unrestricted authority to issue laws without restrictions.
