Abstract EN

In this article, we discuss one of the issues that preoccupied the modern Arab thought, which is the heritage, especially religious one, and the urgent call to re-read it through one of the Arab modernist thinkers, who is Nasr Hamid Abu Zeid, whose various opinions and intellectual discourses on this heritage criticizing the various tendentious readings and ideological readings that lack epistemological sense, calling for rebuilding a scientific awareness and a new objective understanding of this heritage (legacy) and also questioning it critically far from all forms coloring and exclusion.

and it is a productive reading of this heritage based on a real scientific awareness aiming at exposing what is silenced about the Islamic thought in order to achieve an Arab renaissance that keeps pace with the development of the western civilization.
