This research paper aims to investigate the phenomenon of internet addiction among young people by understanding their attitudes towards this medium and the various forms of addiction prevalent among them.

with the internet and modern communication technologies like smartphones becoming the cultural environment in which young people grow and interact, studies have shown a high prevalence of internet use in their daily lives.

It has gained significant importance in their social lives within what is now known as virtual communities.

it has also permeated various aspects of human activity, including learning, entertainment, shopping, political engagement, and social interaction.

The study has found that the presence of positive attitudes towards the internet partially explains young people's engagement and immersion in virtual communities and digital worlds, leading to internet addiction.

this addiction manifests in various forms and patterns among both genders, allowing them to escape from the constraints and pressures of the physical world.
