Abstract EN

Desertion is originally forbidden.

This is because it is against the purposes of the Noble Sharia which calls for friendship and fraternity among Muslims as individuals and groups.

However, it may be an effective medical means particularly when there is a major sin.

So, desertion will break the desire of one's self and serve as a restriction to forgive such a sin, and then it becomes subject to it.

Thus, the fruit of rectifying one's self will be ripe and complete.

This research tackles the desertion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a way of remedy to rectify and modify the behavior of Ka'b Ibn MʿAlīk and the other companions with him.

By the behavior I mean that they did not attend the battle of Tabuk with Allāh's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) for no good reason.

I mean also the consideration regarded by the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) when he dealt with the sin and the sinner.

The research also referred to the importance of the cure through desertion which is beneficial to the individual and the society.

The following approaches are adopted in the research: the inductive, analytical, and deductive approach.
