The aim of the research is to stand on the most important ancient civilizations, and to provide a brief idea about them, before moving on to identify their characteristics that were the reason for their antiquity, and an important factor of their immortality, and to shed light on the two sides of religion and philosophy in the establishment of those civilizations, and their role in controlling their systems and consolidating their foundations.

The study relied on the historical method for its relevance to the objectives of the study, and the study concluded that most ancient civilizations originated on the banks of rivers, which reflects human awareness and the development of his awareness in order to move from the state of searching for food to securing it permanently and continuously, and the existence of commercial relations between the owners of those civilizations.

This is proven by the archaeological assets belonging to other civilizations in the land of a civilization, and the innate human need for religion, which reflects the importance of religion and belief on the human spirit and its need for tranquility and safety.
