India is among the countries that have successfully used soft power in its foreign policy towards the countries of Southern Africa in light of the increasing international competition for this vital region of the African continent in the twenty first century.

both India and the countries of southern Africa have gone on to work to intensify their relations, especially in light of the convergence of their interests in the framework of their common endeavor to achieve economic growth and sustainable development.

despite its modernity and short duration, Indian policy towards many southern African countries is one that is full of initiatives and investment and trade opportunities.

as well as technical and scientific contributions, in addition to humanitarian performances, in addition to India’s pursuit, through the use of its soft power in southern African countries, to achieve several goals, which, although it seems to serve common interests, but in the end it serves the Indian interests first and foremost.
