تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى إجراء تحليل عملي لخطاب الرئيس الأمريكي الأسبق أوباما " اتحاد أكثر مثالية" من خلال تطبيق طريقة تولمن.
أن تطبيق طريقة تولمن يمكن الباحث من إيجاد الطرق التي يقول بها أوباما ادعاءاته والكيفية التي يدعم بها تلك الادعاءات.
توصل الباحث لبعض النتائج أهمها أن اغلب ادعاءات أوباما هي مبنية على رؤى أوباما الشخصية وبعضها مبنية على رؤى سياسية.
هذه النتيجة تبين أن أوباما كرئيس اسبق للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية لدية وجهة نظره الفريدة حول العنصرية والعبودية.
Abstract EN
The present study aims to make A Pragma-discourse study for Obama‟s speech : A more Perfect Union” by applying Toulmin model.
The application of Toulmin model enables the researcher to discover the ways Obama says his claims and how to support them.
The researcher has come up with some results and conclusions, most important of which, is that most of Obama‟s claims are value claims and some of them are policy based claims.
This result shows that Obama, as a former president of the United States, has his own point of view on racism and slavery.
