Abstract EN

The critical grammatical disagreement is the most important characteristic of Al Radi Al-Astarabadi's views in his analysis of the meanings of prepositions.

He disagreed with the Kurian’s, Zamakhshari, and some grammarians in relation to the meanings produced by these letters.

He did not agree to the evidence used by the Kufians for the coming of (from) to begin the temporal purpose.

Nor with Al Mabrad, Al-Zamakhshari and Al-Jarjani in relation to the origin of the meaning of (from), the partitive, and the clarification for gender as the beginning of the purpose.

Nor with Al-Furra and Ibn Al-Anbari in the coming of the 'lam' in the sense of exclamation.

Nor with Abu Ubaidah in the coming of (of) in the meaning of 'ba'.

The syntactic opinions of the meanings of the prepositions mentioned in his book Sharh Al-Kafiyya varied.

Some prepositions are based on their original meanings, and some replace other letters at other times, and sometimes there is inclusion, i.e.

the verb includes the meaning of another verb, in addition to using an appropriate word compatible with the preposition.

Some of these opinions were previously said by some of the old grammarians, such as : Sibawayh, Al-Kisai, Ibn Qutaybah, Al Zajaj, Al-Zajaji, Ibn Al-Anbari, and others.
