Abstract EN

This paper aims to pursue the manifestations of argumentation, starting from the analytical tool provided by the argumentative lesson, along with defining argumentative logic that a poet may employ to ground his text in order to make it more transformative.

it also aims to pursue the extent to which poetic material, especially pre-Islamic era, can absorb the argumentative component, given that many researchers are of the opinion that poetry is not the ideal medium where the desired influence can thrive.

this research shows that the poem at study, which represents a sample for pre-Islamic poetry, including manifestations of argumentation.

Thus, we concluded that poetry can contain the argumentative component despite the individualistic nature of the pre-Islamic poetry, the uniqueness of which compels the recipient to its rulings.

furthermore, we concluded that the poet adopted solid argumentative logic that enabled him to respond to the falsehoods that could dishonor his tribe.
