Collocations are general linguistic phenomenon, which means that a word comes with another, determinant of semantics, and a criterion for revealing the extent of textual coherence and lexical consistency depending on the horizontal level in the study of vocabulary.

Arabic linguists knew the concept and employed it in their works, but they missed a term that it includes.

recently, collocation has entered the field of linguistics with different names, due to the variation in the translation of Firthian's term.

this research traced the Qur'anic collocation in the poetry of Muhammad al-Eid al Khalifa, and monitored different collocations patterns, we studied the patterns of non-referential structures, which the poet employed it in admiration for the eloquence of the Qur’an and its good statement, beautification and brevity of speech, and highness in the ranks of eloquence and statement .
