Abstract EN
The transformations of the contemporary conflicts have added a new complicity to the conflict dynamics, making the question of prevention, conflicts management and resolution more important.
this theoretical article examines some aspects of the conflict resolution field, asking: to which extent can conflicts, particularity intra-states conflicts, be prevented et resolved? this is based on the assumption that the risks of renewed hostilities are higher in the case of negotiated peace than in the case of imposed peace.
to discuss this, it analyses three major points: the nature of conflictuality and its transformations-the retreat of “old wars” and the absence of major wars in the one hand, and the proliferation of “new wars” in the other-; the hypothesis and concepts of conflicts resolution filed; conflicts prevention.
it concludes that, in the case of intra-state conflicts, the armed peace seems more stable than the negotiated peace.
