Abstract EN

The term “al-'Alam” has drawn the attention of linguists and grammarians, both in the past and the present.

this study aims to examine the manuscript “around gender knowledge” sheikh Abdullah ibn Abdul Salam Jassus (he died in 1136 AH).

the study, focused on linguistics, aims to shed light on this manuscript, contributing to enriching scholarly investigations concerning the term “al-'Alam” in Arabic grammar.

employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the study begins with an introduction, followed by the study itself, and concludes with an investigation.

one of the most important results reveals sheikh Abdullah Jassous as a linguist, grammarian, poet, and scholar of Maliki jurisprudence.

although he received education from his father and the notable figure al-Misnawi, he did not attain much recognition.

among his lasting scholarly contributions are the book “al-Nibras fi Badee' al-Iqtibas” and a poetic manuscript titled “Mo'aridat Baytay al-Hariri”, which this study recommended for investigation.
