Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the correlations of some physical and skill abilities of football goalkeepers.

The researcher used the descriptive approach through correlative relations.

The sample was the goalkeepers of the Baghdad University football team for the academic year (2022-2021).

The researcher concluded among the members of the research sample have physical abilities (the explosive power of the muscles of the lower extremities and the motor speed of the muscles of the upper limbs of the right and left arm and the motor speed of the muscles of the lower limbs of the left leg) weak with the skill ability to hold the rolling globes, as well as in physical abilities (the motor speed of the muscles of the left leg) the upper limbs of the right and left arm and the motor speed of the muscles of the lower limbs (left leg) are weak with the skill ability to catch high balls, while the subjects of the research sample have physical abilities (the explosive power of the muscles of the upper limbs and the motor speed of the muscles of the lower limbs-the right leg) strong with skill ability, catch the rolling globes.

The study recommended the use of modern training tools and methods that help in developing the physical and skill abilities of footbal goalkeepers.
