Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the degree of availability of the dimensions of the European Excellence Model (EFQM) in the Palestinian universities and its relationship to the institutional performance.

The study adopted the descriptive and analytical approach.

Regarding the study population, It consisted of all the administrative and academic employees at the Islamic University of Gaza, who numbered 739, and a random stratified sample of 252 was chosen.

Employees, and the questionnaire was distributed to them, 230 questionnaires were retrieved, by 92.0%.

The study found that there is a statistically significant relationship at (α ≤0.05) between the availability of the dimensions of the European Excellence Model (EFQM) at the Islamic University of Gaza and the institutional performance.

In addition, there is a statistically significant effect for the availability of the dimensions of the European Excellence Model (EFQM) at the Islamic University of Gaza on institutional performance.

Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences between the study sample estimates of the degree of availability of dimensions of the European Excellence Model (EFQM) at the Islamic University of Gaza and its relationship to institutional performance due to demographic factors (gender, age, job title, years of experience and Qualification).

The study recommended the necessity of the Islamic University's keenness to get acquainted with the employees' experiences and capabilities, and to work on employing them well in academic and administrative work.

In addition to encouraging university employees to develop their administrative and academic capabilities through some training courses.

And to enhancing employees' feeling of confidence by distributing tasks to them according to their capabilities and delegating powers and following them up, which increases their affiliation to the university and dedication to performing the work required of them.
