Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of social intelligence and academic achievement motivation among Al-Aqsa University students and to find out the relationship between the social intelligence and the academic achievement motivation, as well as to recognize the impact of interaction between both social intelligence and academic achievement motivation, and the following variables: (gender-housing-educational level).

The sample of the study comprised of (200) male and female students from Al-Aqsa University.

The researcher used the following tools: the Social Intelligence Scale prepared by Attai and others (2009), and academic achievement motivation Scale designed by Badawi and Abdul Jalil (2014).

The study came to the following results: the level of social intelligence increased from a hypothetical average, and that the level of academic achievement motivation was low as it is less than the hypothetical average.

The study showed that there was a direct correlation between social intelligence and motivation for academic achievement motivation.

Moreover, there was no statistically significant impact on the interaction between each of the variables of social intelligence, academic achievement motivation, and the common interactions of the variables: gender, housing and educational level.
