Abstract EN

The writing in Hadith criticism knew a remarkable development since its beginning to nowadays.

It has gone through various stages of importance and development, and has known different trends.

However, these stages constitute coherent, integral, and indistinguishable circles, especially in the golden centuries of Hadith criticism.

In order to provide clear features on this topic, I adopted a historical methodology which combines description and analysis.

The most important conclusion that we have reached is to observe the diversity of writings on this science in most eras, especially in the golden centuries of hadith criticism, and we observe too that the production in Hadith Criticism did not stop completely even in the era of regression, but had known a huge lack and weakness in methods.

During the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries of Hijrah the writing in Hadith criticism has seen the emergence of signs of renaissance which has been appeared in the writings of many contemporary specialists of Hadith, and it indicates a degree of brilliance in this science.
