This achievement seeks to explore the role played by national identity key elements in preserving Algerian cohesion and unity during the French occupation and their extreme influential importance-according to al Ibrahimi's writings-in creating a generation that believes in their national cause within the dialectic of right and duty, and is well aware of the requirements for establishing the conditions for true good citizenship appropriate for reconstruction after independence.
