Abstract EN

This study is based on=Saudi diary literature in the time of Corona, in the diaries of (Qais Yamkin), from a thematic perspective, approaching it by the mechanisms of analysis, and interpretation, with an indication of the manifestations of the thematic dimensions that are included in the text under discussion.

The study is meant to shed light on this type of narrative, taking Qais Yamkin diaries of solitude as an example.

It elaborates the various types of diaries beginning with social diaries, then those with a psychological dimension, and finally diaries with an ethical dimension.

Among the most prominent results of this investigation is revealing the manifestations of Solitude and the (Corona) Pandemic on the social, psychological, and moral levels.

The impact of this on the writer's personality was clarified, as he renewed his knowledge of his family, activated his memory, and used past events to supplement his diaries with various topics.

It showed the value of diaries in depicting the reality of life at critical historical crossroads and at the time of major epidemics.
