Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of the sciences distance education, and to reveal the strengths, weaknesses and suggestions from a point of view of the female teachers in Al-Baha region.

Semi-structured interviews were conducted on (10) a female teacher.

The study follows the qualitative descriptive approach.

the results showed that the sciences teachers were configured to teach about pronunciation in registering in the platform and training in the use of educational platforms (Madrsty, Teams) Science lessons were implemented through the platform through a variety of educational means between visual and audio, included presentations, videos, electronic games, three-dimensional objects and interactive experiments.

The platform helped in the evaluation process through the question bank available on it.

The practical experiences were taught via the platform through the use of virtual laboratories and the 3D application.

One of the strengths of the platform is that it helped to develop the skills of some teachers in using laboratory experiments, participating and motivating female students, and developing the characteristics of self-reliance, independence among feale students.

One of the weaknesses is the difficulty of modifying the students’ behavior, and the increase in the burdens placed on female teachers.

Also, some experiments cannot be implemented through the platform, which makes it somewhat difficult to take into account individual differences and suggestions have been developed.

Such as integrating face-to-face education with distance education, so that educational losses do not occur.

Developing the skills available on the platform for different skill levels.
