Abstract EN

This research analytically investigates all hadiths about supplication by the face of Allah, whether the hadith is prohibiting or permitting this action.

It aims to identify the hadiths’ degree of authenticity «accuracy or weakness», verifying their significance and reviewing how scholars deal with them.

The proper approach is the inductive deductive approach all hadiths about this issue have been investigated and verified along with seeking the views of scholars toward them.

The research found out that the hadiths about this topic are eight hadiths, three of them prohibit asking by the face of Allah, and five hadiths permit it.

They are all weak hadiths and none of them is «Hadith Sahih», truly authenticated.

Scholars have four sayings about asking by the face of Allah: permitting, hatred, prohibiting and permitting in some cases.

The researcher favors the first saying.
