Abstract EN

This study, entitled the French National Assembly and the Fezzan issue from colonialism to evacuation, 1943-1956, aims to learn the position of a long-standing democratic institution in defending others' rights and, most importantly, their independence.

The problem with the research was to find out whether this institution and its deputies were advocates of freedom and democracy sought to salvage others from the abhorrent colonial era.

Therefore, the historical narrative of events and their narrative has been adopted through their context and sources.

In conclusion, the term independence, freedom and democracy, which are slogans even in the most prestigious democracies such as France, have been aimed at their interests and those of colonial France away from peoples' aspirations and freedoms.
