Pragmatics aims to achieve successful communication between interlocutors, by searching the appropriate intentions for the context in which the speech was said.

relevance theory is one of the most important pragmatics concepts with a cognitive dimension wich is interested in contexts that affect the process of understanding and comprehension, by testing hypotheses to choose the appropriate one with minimal effort.

the speaker may use linguistic elements that stimulate the addressee’s mind to infer the intent.

this research aims to clarify the intentions including in Surat al-Jin and explain Quranic discours strategy through the appropriateness of the speech units in Surat al-jinn for its context, and how the exegesists treat the degree of relevance and find out the intentions, according to precedent exact outlook for relevance theory.

exegesists used the rules of this theory and knew the important of the context in achieving the degree of relevance between intentions of the discourse concerning the speaker and the contextual results related to the addressee.
