The quantitative approach is considered one of the approaches used in carrying out scientific research, and it contains study tools through which one can reach a digital reality with its meaning.

qualitative (qualitative) demographic studies have been linked to statistical (quantitative) studies, especially when we study historical demography in the Maghreb during the middle Islamic era.

research in the field of historical demography in the Maghreb has proven to be extremely difficult and complex, which has prompted most researchers to refrain from delving into it due to the scarcity of sources, specifically with regard to issues of marriage, groups of society in general, food and medical customs, and the relationship between the economy, society, and politics.

therefore, we will try to highlight the importance of the quantitative approach and statistical inventory in writing historical demography in the middle ages in Islamic Maghreb.
