Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the role of Distance Learning in developing creative thinking skills in its various dimensions (originality fluency - flexibility perceptiveness of details) among students of A'Sharqiyah University from faculty members point of view, and to find any statistical significant difference between Distance Learning and direct learning in developing these Dimensions, in addition to know the difficulties that limit the development of creative thinking skills among A'Sharqiyah University students.

The sample of study consisted of 48 faculties at A'Sharqiyah University from various disciplines were selected randomly, the study used a descriptive approach where the questionnaire prepared by the researchers about Distance learning role skills in developing creative thinking skills.

The research concluded with the following results: 1.

Distance Learning does not contribute to the development of students' creative thinking skills in terms of the following (originality - flexibility - fluency - awareness of details).

There is no significant difference between direct and Distance Learning in developing the creative thinking skills.

Finally, the result found that the factors limit the possibility of Distance Learning in developing creative thinking skills are: The lack of training of faculty members on appropriate teaching methods for Distance Learning, the approved curricula are not suitable for Distance Learning, and the content of the curricula does not contribute to the development of creative thinking.
