The current century is witnessing the emergence of many contemporary events, variables and issues that are expected to affect various activities of life, including the issue of climate change.

this issue is one of the most serious issues facing the world at the present time.

this is due to its harmful impact on the social and environmental determinants of health, and the resulting harmful effects of the global, regional and local levels in various sectors; therefore, scholars interested in climate education have called for the need to provide adequate education on the issue of climate change, and the necessity of climate literacy, considering it an essential part of scientific literacy.

this research paper has attempted to shed light on the issue of climate literacy by clarifying the role of climate literacy in achieving sustainable development goals, and clarifying the role of science curricula in the twenty-first century in climate literacy in the various educational stages, and identifying the most important scientific topics related to climate changes that can be incorporating it into the science curricula for climate literacy in pre-university education, and showing how to benefit from enhancing green skills in science curricula to accelerate climate literacy among learners? this paper concluded by presenting a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the necessity of including climate changes and developing green skills among learners through science curricula at various educational levels.
