Abstract EN

This research seeks to monitor the geopolitical changes from the point of view of the Russian thinker Alexander Dugin, one year after the Russian-Ukrainian war (2022-2023), because his ideas have an important influence within the Russian elite, especially in military institutions and some academic institutions.

The research methodology is based on the use of the analytical descriptive approach in monitoring the new changes that occurred in the ideas of the Russian theorist Dugin.

The research also used the comparative approach by comparing the geopolitical dogmatics with the geopolitical reality produced by the Russian- Ukrainian war.

The research relied on collecting scientific material on secondary sources such as books and studies, in addition to primary sources represented by field observation and open interviews with specialists in Russian affairs.

The research monitored, through comparison, some points of discrepancy or stability between geopolitical dogmatism and the new geopolitical reality.

As for the most prominent new views of the Russian theorist Dugin, it was represented by his recognition of the limited influence he had personally on Putin, in addition to emphasizing the West's victory over Russia in that war, Russia's surprise and unwillingness to fight a long war, the length of the war, and the deep Ukrainian-Western connection.

The conclusion of the research lies in emphasizing the growing influence of right-wing ideas and their limitations in dealing with the depth of geopolitical changes, which confirms their seriousness in drawing up international politics, especially in the event of their impact on decision-making centers.
