The study examines the adoption of buy now, pay later (BNPL) services in the Egyptian market and their impact on consumer spending, saving, and borrowing behaviours.

a structured survey questionnaire drove the analysis to capture data from a diverse sample of Egyptian consumers by including descriptive analysis and multi-regression models for data analysis.

the results determined the main significant factors of BNPL adoption: convenience, affordability, registration simplicity, and promotional offers.

BNPL utilisation also influenced the spending patterns of participants and was associated with increased expenditure; its effects on saving and borrowing were mixed.

the outcomes contribute to the existing literature by shedding light on the factors driving the adoption of BNPL and the consequent impact on Egyptian consumer habits.
