Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the role of the digital economy in enhancing economic re-silience, focusing on a group of Arab countries, including Egypt, during the period from 2019 to 2022.

to achieve this objective, a methodology based on panel data analysis was adopted to study and analyze the relationship between various variables.

the study used the network readiness index (NRI) as an indicator of the digital economy.

additionally, the study utilized the rate of change in per capita gross domestic product (GDP) as a mea- sure of economic growth and the economy's ability to withstand and adapt to crises, along with some demographic variables.

the study found that countries with higher levels of the digital economy have greater capabilities to face economic shocks resulting from crises, including the COVID-19 pan-demic.

therefore, the digital economy is considered an effective tool to make these coun-tries more resilient in the face of economic challenges.

the study recommended accelerat-ing digital transformation mechanisms to keep up with these developments and continue adapting to this new environment in the post-crisis period.

furthermore, the study empha-sized the importance of adopting a comprehensive approach in Egypt, based on measures and policies that promote both traditional and digital sectors.
