The study aimed to analyze the role of entrepreneurship in stimulating youth employment in Egypt, and testing the hypothesis that “entrepreneurship may play a dual role in reducing youth unemployment on one hand, and increasing decent and productive work opportunities on the other hand.

the results reavealed that the development of entrepreneurial activity in stages the total early stage entrepreneurship activity in the period (2008-2018) reached an average of 10.38%, with minimum of 7% in 2010 and maximum of 14.3% in 2014.

the results also confirmed a number of challenges facing entrepreneurs; the most important are “legislative challenge,” the lack of a precise definition of what an entrepreneur is, as well as the nature of investment climate and the need for further reforms, and there are funding and educational challenges, the former, a major obstacle to entrepreneurship.

at a time when there are other aspects and forms of support that help them to find financing and reducing risks, such as (the center for technological innovation and entrepreneurship, the Bedaya center for entrepreneurship and development of small and medium enterprises, Misr company for entrepreneurship and investment and your idea of your company.
