This paper deals with the status of women in Libya society before the Greeks came to Libya, This is because the sour cues mentioned it only as passing references, Except Herodotus, who spoke about it in some detail in the fifth century B.C, Where he showed her interest in her home, her children and her participation in the man's work.

This is because the family is the basis of the tribal system that prevailed in Libya society at the time.

Also, the Libyan society was dominated by men , For this reason , scholars of history focused on the role of men and neglected the role of Libyan women , as she was raising children , taking care of them , taking care of them , in addition to her interest in menthe status.

And even wars, diplomatic missions and some share it.

The status of women was not low or degraded.

Rather, women occupied a prestigious position and enjoyed rights in their society despite its primitiveness.
