Institutional excellence is considered one of the main frameworks to help social care institutions enhance their ability and capabilities to achieve excellence in performance, and to keep pace with global developments and developments in leadership, planning, creativity and innovation to improve the quality of services provided, and competitiveness is one of the most prominent.

characteristics of the modern era, and it is an indicator of economic strength and a gateway to its continuity.

the strength of any country comes from the strength of its economy, that is, its superiority over other economies, and its ability to compete with them internally and externally, which necessitates governments to pay attention to the issue of competitiveness and benefit from its concept so that they can achieve development and growth, especially developing countries, so it was necessary for social care institutions to strive towards excellence in institutional performance by encouraging competition between these institutions, so that they can provide a high-quality and distinguished service to beneficiaries.

therefore, the current study focused on determining the relationship between competitive advantage and achieving institutional excellence in social care institutions, and it concluded the results of the study indicated that there is a statistically significant direct relationship between competitive advantage and achieving institutional excellence in social care institutions.

the study recommended the necessity of providing workers in social care institutions with experience, knowledge, and behaviors to improve service performance for beneficiaries through effective and continuous training on how to apply competitive mechanisms and develop their awareness of the concepts of institutional excellence.
