This research deals with the clarification of the considered names of the creed used by the predecessors.

and six names have been found other than the name of the faith, four singular and two compound, namely: faith, monotheism, Sunnah, Sharia, the principles of religion, the greater jurisprudence, and all these words are contained in the texts of Sharia, they included The singular ones include the meaning of creed as part of the meaning of the pronunciation.

As for the compound nouns, they did not appear in the compound form in the texts of the Sharia, but were composed later, but their vocabulary is fixed, and the use of these nouns has varied from few and many.

Each name in a topic and every topic in five demands that start with the linguistic meaning, then the general meaning, then the specific, then launch it as a scientific title, then the legality of the name and the date of its appearance, then conclude the research with a conclusion that includes the results and recommendation, and the research is appended with a list of references.

Several methods have been used in the research such as inductive, descriptive and analytical due to their relevance to the nature of the research.
