The current research aims to identify the moral disengagement of the students of the preparatory stage.

and to identify the significance of the differences in the moral disengagement among students of the preparatory school stage according to the variable of gender (males - females).

a sample of (400) male and female students was selected.

who were chosen by stratified random method with a proportional distribution from government schools for morning study in the center of Basra Governorate.

and the researcher found the stability of the scale by testing and re-testing method.

The current research reached to : the Preparatory school students have a good degree of moral disengagement.

There were statistically significant differences in the moral disengagement of the preparatory stage students according to the gender variable (male-female) and on the behalf of males.

and according to the type of study variable (scientific - literary) on the behalf of the literary branch students.
