يهدف البحث التفكير، اهمیته ،خصائصه مكوناته، ادواته، إلى أن الله سبحانه وتعالى خلق الإنسان وميزه عن الكائنات الحية الأخرى بنعم عديدة، والتفكير احدى هذه النعم والذي حضي باهتمام العديد من الباحثين والمربين والفلاسفة عبر التاريخ حيث ان جميع المدارس الفلسفية والفكرية والتربوية والنفسية عنيت بتنمية الفكر والتفكير لدى المتعلم كي يصبح أكثر قدرة على مواجهة الصعوبات والمشكلات التي تعترض سبيله سواء في المجالات الأكاديمية أو مجالات الحياة المختلفة من جوانب اجتماعية أو اقتصادية أو تربوية أو أخلاقية أو غيرها من المجالات.
