The concept of imagination has attracted the attention of philosophers and critics since ancient times.

The reason for this is due to the prominent importance of this concept in all cultural and cognitive fields, such as poetry, painting, music and others, among other arts.

There were many schools and sects that dealt with this concept by studying, scrutinizing, and researching until this resulted in a multiplicity of concepts that clarify it throughout the ages.

Therefore, the research required that it be in two sections and an introduction that dealt in the introduction with the statement of this concept and its limits and its nature, and then it was shown in the first section the literary and intellectual sources from which the critics drew their literary and critical imagination, and then the second topic came to show the effectiveness of literary imagination among the Marxist critics.
