Abstract EN

The research aims to know: Personal authenticity among university students.

The differences in personal authenticity according to gender (male/female) and specialization (humanitarian/scientific).

To achieve the goals of the research, the researcher has adopted the short form of the Kernis & Goldman scale (2006) to measure personal authenticity, which was it final form consists of (20) items, and after verifying the psychometric properties of scale, through using a statistical analysis sample consisting of (400) students, the researcher applied the research both scales with its final form in the basic research sample consisting of (300) male and female students from Al-Mustansiriya University and from both specializations, scientific and humanitarian for morning studies, which were chosen in a proportional random way.

And the results have been shown : Students have a good level of personal authenticity.

There are no statistically significant differences in personal authenticity according to the variables of gender (male/female) and academic specialization (scientific/Humanitarian).

In light of these results, the researcher came out with a number of conclusions , recommendations and proposals.
