Architecture is a complex set of phenomena that are not limited to the dwelling, but rather go beyond to include the scope of housing, the organization of the place, and lifestyles.

Through architecture alone, cultures express themselves and understand themselves, and architecture is the art of constructing buildings and houses according to human needs and within architectural standards that are appropriate according to the nature of the environment and its geographical location.

Four topics interpret architecture anthropologically: the first topic on Marcel Moss's perspective of Eskimo homes, the second topic on Levi Strauss's perspective on home and kinship communities, the third topic on Edward Hall's perspective on social distance, the fourth topic on Sarah Bank's anthropological perspective on house architecture from an ethnographic vision.
