Abstract EN

This study aims to try to identify the most important approaches to strengthening the economic role of the Algerian customs administration as an effective contributor to achieving economic diversification, which has become an obligation to diversify sources of income in light of the continuous decline in revenues related to petroleum collection and in light of the requirements of embodying the policy of trade openness.

through this study, we concluded that the customs administration, as a public institution charged with protecting the national economy, collecting rights and fees upon import and export, as well as protecting the state's gains from risks resulting from negative behavior or external threats of an economic nature; it is also working to prepare, modernize, develop and adapt its frameworks in order to work flexibly with developments in the global economic arena.
